PAV provided full AV production for the New Century Campaign Closing Celebration hosted by University of Western Australia.

The event was two-fold; to farewell its 14th Chancellor, Dr Michael Chaney, who is retiring at the end of the year, and to give recognition to the many financial donors to UWA’s hugely successful $400 million dollar New Century Campaign.

The campaign, which launched in 2013 and concludes at the end of 2017, has received the support of donors ranging in age from 19 to 99, including 7300 who were first-time contributors to UWA.

“Together, these graduates, community members, corporations and organisations are enhancing the experience of students at UWA and ensuring the impact of transformative research and teaching well into the future,” Dr Chaney said.

PAV provided all AV elements, including a distributed Kiva sound system, room lighting for Winthrop Hall, a camera package with manned and remotely operated (PTZ) cameras, and vision switching.

For the first time in Winthrop Hall, new rigging points were installed above the stage to accommodate PAV’s 20’ x 11’ LED screen.

Outside the venue, PAV also provided a very elegant illumination of the façade.
