PAV were asked to upgrade the audio visual installation at the Lucky Shag as part of a series of renovations.
The existing equipment (also supplied and installed by PAV) was already very solid and covered the entertaining areas thoroughly, so the upgrade was designed to build on this adding a intelligent touch-screen automation panel to control everything from lighting zones/colours, to audio volume and input sources, and TV/Foxtel sources in different locations.
Also installed was an additional screen for digital signage showcasing current promotions and upcoming events.
One aspect unmatched by any local bar or function centre in Perth is the Lucky Shag’s entertainment screens in the gents’ facilities. Fitted, uh, flush into the wall between urinals are convenient LCD screens that allow for uninterrupted viewing of sporting matches and other broadcasts. These screens were upgraded as part of the current installation and, along with speakers embedded in the ceiling, are also controllable by staff from the central touch panel behind the bar. The Lucky Shag is undoubtedly one of the more accommodating venues when it comes to a quick rest break.
